DS3820AIRA is an Analog I/O Module and is part of the GE Speedtronic Mark IV gas turbine control system for industrial and steam turbines. Twenty-eight bright yellow capacitors, six huge white capacitors, and twenty-six little red tower-style capacitors make up the DS3820AIRA. A capacitor is a device that stores excess energy in an electromagnetic field to be used later. Five huge boxes and one smaller black box make up the module. Metal strips with screws go between the dark boxes. There are seventeen screws on the far left strip, twelve screws on the center strip, and seventeen screws on the far right strip. Around sixty resistors make up the DS3820AIRA.
The resistors prevent energy from flowing freely across the board. The numerous colored bands that surround the resistors help to identify them. Each ring represents the amount of energy that each resistor can block.
There are forty-one little yellow didoes on the DS3820AIRA. The diodes regulate the flow of electricity across the circuit board by allowing it to travel only in one direction.
Three long male terminal ports with 32 metal prongs, seven short male terminal ports with ten metal prongs, and two medium-length male terminal ports with twenty metal prongs are available on the DS3820AIRA.
The DS3820AIRA is connected to the surrounding circuit boards through these male terminal connectors.
