Technical Specifications
GE - IS200EAUXH1A

IS200EAUXH1A is an Exciter Auxiliary I/O Interface Board manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the EX2100e Series used in GE Excitation gas turbine control systems. The most modern control from GE for both new and retrofit steam, gas, and hydro generators is the EX2100e Excitation Control. To guarantee the delivery of a real system solution, GE's system and controls engineers closely coordinate the design of the control hardware and software. The Mark VI Integrated Control System (ICS), the LS2100e Static Starter, the EX2100e control, and the human-machine interface (HMI) are all seamlessly integrated. Integration with client-distributed control systems (DCS) through ModBus® Ethernet is supported for standalone retrofit applications.

There are a number of setups for the EX2100e control system, giving it flexibility for full static and regulator control. Cells with sizes of 42, 53, 77, and 100 mm are used in Thyristor silicon-controller rectifier (SCR)-based systems to cost-effectively meet field current needs in static applications. Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBTs) are used in pulse-width modulated (PWM) systems to deliver output currents of up to 35 A or 120 A for applications using regulator systems. The following applications can be supported by these systems:

Potentially static source to 8000 A
A constant, complex source
Power Potential Transformer (PPT) and Saturable Current Transformer (SCT) Regulator
A brushless excitation regulator
A rotating exciter regulator for direct current (dc)
CONTROL HARDWARE:

The EX2100e Thyristor system architecture includes a simplex or redundant control configuration, customer I/O interface sub-system, control power supply input module, and power conversion module, as well as an optional diagnostic interface local operator (touchscreen) or optional control operator interface (COI) remote touchscreen interface (PCM). A power bridge, filter networks for both ac and dc, and/or isolation devices for both ac and/or dc make up the PCM.

The following Ethernet local area network (LAN) devices can communicate with the EX2100e Thyristor system:

Using a Modbus remote terminal equipment, a customer DCS (RTU)
The ToolboxST* program
For monitoring and diagnostics, GE OnSite Support*
CONTROL SOFTWARE:

The EX2100e control software provides excellent performance and aids in the installation, commissioning, tuning, and maintenance of the excitation control system for the customer and field engineers. The controllers contain the exciter software, which is loaded and set using the ToolboxST program. Control blocks that are joined together to illustrate the signal flow serve as the software's representation on the ToolboxST Component Editor screen. The following is some of the output of the software transducer system:

Generator current running (average in phase with watts).
Generator reactive current (average in phase with reactive power, VARs).
Generator pulsation rate (current).
Slip (signal conveying the change in the rotor speed) (signal representing the change in the rotor speed).
