Technical Specifications
GE - IS200JPDPG1A

IS200JPDPG1A is a Local Power Distribution Board manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark VIe Series used in GE Distributed Control Systems. The Local Power Distribution (JPDP) board distributes 28 V dc power in an intermediate manner from the JPDM board to a number of JPDL boards before going on to the I/O packs. JPDP can also opportunistically power Ethernet switches.

INSTALLATION:

Along with other power distribution boards, JPDP is mounted in a plastic holder that slides onto a vertical DIN rail. Mate-N-Lock connectors are used on the power input and output wires.

OPERATION:

The distribution of the 28 V dc power in JPDP and how it reaches the I/O packs and Ethernet switches are depicted in the accompanying diagram.

INPUTS: The JPDM provides input power, which is typically 28 V dc (referred to as Pbus). Three distinct Pbus feeds are delivered from JPDS to the 6-pin Mate-N-Lock input connector, providing triple redundancy. Red, Blue, and Black represent the three feed colors.

OUTPUTS: JPDL boards are powered by three output circuits that are identical to one another. Uses a 5-pin Mate-N-Lock connector for each JPDL output. Red, Blue, and Black are represented by three of the five pins. Two additional pins are used for Pbus return. For Ethernet switches, there are six identical outputs available. Each of the three feeds has a distinct pair of connectors (red, blue, and black).
