IS200VTURH2B is a VME Turbine Card and is also known as the Primary Turbine Protection board under General Electric Speedtronic Mark VI series. The component performs several tasks, including monitoring shaft and voltage currents, as well as monitoring Geiger-Mueller flame detectors in gas turbine applications. To keep these processes running, the board monitors four-speed inputs from passive magnetic sensors. Flame detectors can help evaluate if the system's light detection is being hampered by carbon buildup or other impurities. In turbines without a mechanical Overspeed bolt, this PCB can also send a trip command.
A double-wide faceplate is used on the module. There are only a few components on this faceplate, but it does include three LED indicators and cable connectors. Three screws secure the faceplate to the front board edge. There are two backplane connectors on the board, as well as other connectors.
On both the front and back of the board, there are thirteen transistors, inductor coils, resistors, and capacitors. An auxiliary board with an additional backplane is joined to the board via four standoffs. SRAM and RAM chips, oscillation chips, and FPGAs are among the integrated circuits on the board.
This board is a VME turbine board that comes in a variety of configurations. This board was created to incorporate particular, unique interfaces from the turbine control system on a single card and monitors passive magnetic sensors from four-speed inputs. It works in conjunction with the Backup protection module's I/O interface in some applications.
It has an attached faceplate with additional components such as LED status indicators and a cable connector placed into its surface.
Two backplane connectors, inductor coils, capacitors, transistors, integrated circuits, and resistors are also on the board. The board is drilled in various places to make mounting easier.
