IS420UCSBH3A is a UCSB Controller Module developed by GE under the Mark VIe series. The Stand-alone computers, UCSB controllers run application-specific control system logic. The UCSB controller does not host any application I/O, in contrast to conventional controllers where it is on a backplane. Each controller is also connected to all I/O networks, providing them with access to all input data. No single point of application input will be lost if a controller is powered down for maintenance or repair thanks to the hardware and software architecture.

A single module that mounts directly to the panel sheet metal houses the UCSB controller. The UCSB controller must be mounted to the panel in the manner depicted, with the fins' vertical airflow unhindered.

Operation
Software tailored to the controller's use is preloaded on it. It can move blocks or rungs. Online changes to the control software are possible without restarting the system. IS420UCSBH3A Features
Through on-board I/O network (IONet) interfaces, the UCSB controller, which is mounted in a panel, communicates with the I/O packs. Mark controls I/O modules and controllers are the only devices supported by IONet, a private special-purpose Ethernet.
It is a single module that interfaces with external I/O packs through on-board I/O network connectors. Backplane connectors on one side of the controller were used in past generations of Speedtronic control systems to create these types of interfaces.
